Journey to Here

DSCF0469

Welcome, dear reader!

In September 2014 I figured I should type up the twenty-six pieces I had written over the course of about ten years for my children since no one can read my handwriting. But then, one day in October, after 27 years of salvation, I had a fresh encounter with God. I’ve been writing ever since.

My inspiration springs from people and situations surrounding me and my walk with God. The goal is to write myself and others out of the predicaments we encounter and bring us face to face with The One who is The Way.

I want to take these words that God has given me and throw them as far as I can so they can impact others for Jesus. I have asked Him if I could write for Him. I have asked Him if I could have a word in season for someone. I am praying, “Give me words to praise You Lord.”

Here I am, Lord. Use me.

Rachael

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

  1. I love the charge to God “Here I am Lord, Use Me.” I read this as an open invitation to God from a totally surrendered life. Great post ma’am. Thank you!

    1. Thank you: praise God, and welcome, JD! 🙂 Yes, that is an open invitation to God. It took a bit to get here- so grateful for His grace. Surrender to Him is the only way to win, you know? And where else shall we go? He alone has the words of life.

    1. Thank you so much for your encouraging words and for following, Michelle. Membership in The Jerry Jenkins Writers Guild is one of the best investments I’ve ever made. Hope you’re enjoying Jerry’s incredible teaching as well as that of all the other writing instructors he brings in for classes.

    1. It is so scary stepping into the light, into the place called vulnerable, that He called me to many years ago. (More on that another time). Well, here I am; finally. Pray for me please, that God would give me words to glorify and draw others to Him.
