One Day in October

DSCF1416-014

I built an altar in the field that day and put myself on it. I don’t know if I understood how pivotal that moment would be when I turned aside from everything screaming for my attention. Jesus did though, and He was waiting for me. I didn’t ask Him for anything that day, except to keep me. I gave myself to Him. Again.

You can be new again.

I choose You Jesus when the way is clear… I choose You when the storm rages on… keep my mind stayed on You… I choose You… when the blessings flow…. when the obstacles loom and I’m not sure which way to go… when everyone walks away… Because at the end of the day, it’s all about You, Jesus.

    1. While driving I prayed, “God I want a song to go with “Turning Martha into Mary.” As soon as I said that, “Breathe” started playing on my Christian radio. I had never heard it before. I pulled the car over and wrote down the name so I wouldn’t forget.:) And I have more stories like that…God is good.

      1. So I wrote out this comment and it got deleted… But I wanted to thank you for this post, again. It hit me that Marthas are not always loud about their activity. It’s just that the activity has become too loud to them to hear Jesus’ voice. Boy, do I struggle there. Glad I’m not alone battling my Martha tendencies. (I kinda love that we’re on the same wavelength!) I’ve listened to the Breathe song on repeat before, it’s that good, and your hashtags are awesome. Hugs, Rachael!
